Northern Mysteries Drum Circle
This is a drumming circle where we only drum with hoop/frame drums made with natural animal hides. If you don't have this type of drum we are welcome to come anyway and listen to the spirit of the drums.
Drumming connects us to the heart beat of the Earth and the lower vibrations that are so necessary for our health and well-being.
Drumming also connects us to the first sound we hear as humans, the beat of our mother's heart.
We can drum to alter our consciousness.
We can drum to do shamanic journey work.
We can drum to travel between the worlds.
Drumming was a part of the daily lives of the indigenous tribes of Old Europe and the British Isles.
Many of us whose ancestors came from that part of the world have forgotten our own Northern traditions. We have lost connection with the spirits of our ancestors, their gods, their sagas, their wisdom.
The Northern Mysteries Drumming Circle is a way to reconnect with this forgotten spirituality.
I invite you to join me and other like-minded people each week as we drum to remember.
I will lead the circle each week by setting an intention using the runes to guide us.
No experience necessary. If you don't have a hoop/frame drum made with animal hide, come anyway and just listen to the beat.
